    Hi from Total Vauxhall

Hi everyone, I started a few weeks ago as Staff Writer at TV. Some of you probably already know me but to everyone else... hello.

Now, I'm in the process of updating our V files into a PROPER listing of all sporting Vauxhalls but there are a couple of Astras I don't have any information on. I was wondering if any of you may have a brochure or owners manual for the following cars:

    Mk3 1.7 TDS Sport - BHP/Torque, engine code, 0-60, insurance group.

Mk4 1.6 Sport - pre facelift cars. I think these were 90ps originally? Same as above.

    Mk4 1.8 Sport/SRi/SXi - 115ps cars pre 2001 facelift

Any info greatly appreciated, a 1999/2000 sales brochure should provide everything for the mk4's, a 1996/97 for the TD mk3.

The listing for mk4 (not coupes) should run something like this:

    1.6 Sport/SXi (early)
    1.8 Sport/SXi/SRi (early)
    1.6 SXi/SRi (facelift)
    1.8 SXi/SRi (facelift)
    2.0 SRi
    2.2 SRi
    2.0 SRi Turbo
    2.0 GSi Turbo
    2.0 DTi SXi/SRi
    1.7 CDTi SXi/SRi

    Anything I've missed out?

    Cheers everyone!

All UK Mk4 Sports were 16v - and the only facelift came when the 'sport' demarkation was already removed (by SXi). Are you sure you dont mean mk3 or Mk4 1.4 16v - as the 1.4 is 89 and 90bhp (but I have never seen a mk4 1.4 Sport)

The original Vectra 1.6 16v was 90ps and I suspect I may be confusing the mk4 Astra 100ps version with this (the Vectra was upped to 100ps in 00) and the smaller 1.4 16v as used in the LS.

There are two different versions of the SXi, one with a red sticker badge (mostly W and X reg I've seen) and the later, more common type with a silver badge. The first SXi's also had 15" wheels and the early type speedo clock fonts, pre the Y reg onward facelift. The 1.8 ones of these will be 115ps, as opposed to 125ps.

Thanks for the replies, I want to make sure I get this spot on - unlike what's there currently.

    its all here....

    http://www.m1gst.com/vb/showthread....t=history+astra

and there is some debate over the early sticker sxi's as certain engines got certain wheels, and there are reports of varying specifications whilst Vauxhall decided what it was doing.
