Any recommendations for front speakers on Astra G?

    Hi guys,

just wondering if you guys have any recommendations when it comes to front speakers for the Astra G? I dont want to spend silly money, but I do like my tunes, so I suppose I have a budget of about 50-60 pounds for them. What size are they - is it 17cm for the front, and if I get coaxials will i need a fitting adapter?

    yours naively

depends if you'll be running a sub or not, else i wouldnt change them.. you'll lose a lot of the bass running aftermarket speakers as they are all designed now to be run along side a subwoofer.

The alpine type r's are a good choice though.

wouldn't bother if you only want to spend that the standard ones aint all that bad for one they're components which start at £90 for okay ones and yes they are 17cm but you will need a base plate cos of standrd speakers have one built in.i have pioneer tse,s and these sound great.

Motor World are selling JBL component speakers (mid, tweet and Xover) for £55, down from £100. Bargain, and in your budget!

Like has already been said, you'll need adaptors.

I'm gonna put Alpine Type-R 17" components in my Coupe cos my Amp is a V12 and the Sub is Type-R so it'll all match up and the Type-R components sound luurrrvelly

i got a set of pioneer components in my car £60 and they are pretty good from the money miles better than the standard speakers that keep distorting and farting once turned up above the volume of a whisper
