    Irmscher Fuel Flap Cover

I have just noticed that the Irmscher Fuel Flap Cover, on the LMF site is just a sticker?

Is this right yeah? Or is it the actual flap thing?
Has anyone got one and will it look good on a black car?

Right.... Are they weather resistant and stuff?
And what about when you are washing the car? Does it start to peel?

I put one on my old Coupe.

I ensured the surface was clean.

6 months later it started to come loose.

Tried to take it off and took half the paint off the flap.

Looked a mess, so ended up buying a Dimma cap which bolted onto it.

    Expensive game in the end.

I would not recommend it due to my previous experiences.

All comments so far sound about right. It is indeed a metal sticker, so should be fairly secure even when washing.

Whether you should fit one is another matter.

Personally I think they are a bit rubbish. They are stick on metal-look stickers. It's not a proper replacement fuel cap. The main thing is it LOOKS like a sticker, so when I see them it makes me think that they wanted a new fuel filler, but couldn't afford a proper bolt in one. Everyone styles there car differently, and it would be boring if we were all the same. But I think that they spoil otherwise good looking cars. I cant understand why Irmscher even make them.

Instead, if you have money burning a hole in your pocket, why not buy yourself:
-a veccy c intake pipe (makes your car faster)
-or a sungalsses holder that replaces the drivers grab handle at the top of the door (makes your car more practical)
-or spend it on some decent cleaning products (makes your car look better)
