    Viper Induction Kit Help

I`m looking to buy a viper induction kit for my mk4 1.6 8v but they only do one for a 1.6 16v. If this fits the 1.6 8v pipes, would it be ok to fit the 16v kit?

The main reason for this is because I need to route a new air feed down to my bumper and the viper kit is the ideal solution.

Also, if anyone has a 1.6 16v mk4 astra, could you please measure the diametre of the pipe that goes into your induction kit / standard airbox.

    Many thanks

BMC is the better kit IMO. You have the same problem as the new owner of Slims old car, in having the grille blanked off now ???

i own slims old car and wanted to know if its a good idea having it in the lower of the bumper? because he had water go into it and mess the engine up! he needed a new engine and at £2500 for a new engine i am not sure i want to connect the air intake up again.

Just a bit of info for you Beastra.

Yes, I bought another bonnet last weekend which already had the grille section smoothed. It will be going to the bodyshop next week with the new vent, so planning ahead really.

    Viper Kit = £250

    BMC Kit = £154

Just need to way up the differences, apart from the £100 price gap.

Jacklin2001, Congrats on buying Slim`s car. Having the intake in the bumper isn`t a problem, just need to go carefull. It would be great if water went into my engine now as that we be an excusse for me to do the engine conversion, LOL.

    Thanks again.

Just researching this at the moment and the BMC kit is winning hands down so far. The viper kit isn`t getting very good write ups.

Will wait until next week to order one, just in case I can get one on Sunday.
