    Suspension sorted!

Well after a long and extensive search for a suspension kit for the Fun i've decided (well after being told i have to do it by Mat) to go into full bling mode and ordered a set of these...

Custom made by Rayvern Hydraulics (they have done a Skoda pick up before believe it or not) it will enable the front to drop and raise, the rear to drop and raise and both to drop and raise together. The kit includes fully adjustable front dampers (for damping and rebound) and all the required bracketry and hoses etc.

Should take em a couple of weeks to make the dampers up then i'll fit the system whilst its in the bodyshop having its respray etc so we can carry out and fabrication work that may pop up for mounting the tanks etc.

Alot of people rave about airbags, but dont they make the ride quality really bad? (although i wasn't aware you got matched 2 way adjustable dampers)

They are alot better than they used to be from what im told and certainly way better than hydraulics for UK roads.

I know its a little different from the pick up but I used to do alot of work with the Audi Allroad which uses air suspension much the same as the above kit to alter ride height, as does the Range Rover, having driven both I wouldnt say they are any worse than coil springs. There are only a couple of makes of airbag suspension bits so im guessing they cant be to different. But we shall see wont we

Im paying extra for the custom dampers over kit three (above) but its gnna be worth it in the end.

I think the other pick up Rayvern have done was one that was in one of the Max Power type mags a while ago, there was a shot of the back of it with a flushed tailgate with a number plate frenched in at an angle, looked kinda cool, was at a show of some kind.
