Clarion to Vauxhall Stalk adapter problem

    Hi,
I asked the local garage to fit my Stalk adaptor (SVXC001) today while he was servicing the car, i have a Clarion DB348RMP Mp3 head-unit and my cars a 2000 mk4 Astra hatch. he has said i have the wrong adapter i'm sure i bought the right one from Connects2.
Has anyone else had any problems fitting a Clarion HU?
He has fitted it to the car and it sounds great but i want my steering wheel controls back
As far as sound/build quality goes the Clarion is excellent value and worth checking out
    Cheers
    Brian
Ps Guess who sat dribbling over a Monaro in local super market carpark today
and what a sound!!!! the guy had exhausts that came out the side of the car (900 quid a set ) and guess who was shocked when he filled the tank not me

Nope never had a problem when fitting them in the past, but I would suggest emailing or giving connects2 a call and confirming if it is the right one or not.

If you have a mini phono connector like at the bottom left of :

Then that jack should plug into the back of the head unit.
It's ablue coloured socket on the pioneers.

    Hi,
Yes it does have the mini phono plug but there isn't any sockets on the back of the Clarion DB348RMP head-unit? that's whats puzzling us.
It has 2 amp outputs,a white rectangular socket (to fit the white plug as above) 2 short wires with plugs on and a aerial socket that's all.
Sorry i'm not much help but due to my disability i am unable to remove the stereo to check.
Hope some of this makes sense to you?
    Cheers
    Brian

If there's nowhere for the plug to go on the HU, then you need the infrared connector.
