Annoying rattle from my 54 Plate cabby

I've got a rattle coming from the dashboard, its coming from the insert where the heater air comes out onto the windscreen, the car has only done 6k, so obviously has warranty but do you think its worth taking to them? Are they likely to say they can't hear anything, or shall i take it apart myself and have a play with it ?

does it stop if u push down on it?
i had a slight rattle from the part where the air comes out (like a seperate part of plastic)
seems stupid but all i did was push quite hard on the side that was rattleing and it was like the glue had come loose and when i pushed it stuck back down and stopped,
it was worse with loud must vibrating it, hasnt happened since,

sry if that makes no sense,

I sometimes get it in the Coupe

Same place as you are saying too. Wonder if that piece of plastic can come off that the air comes out of?

Lol yep its the same place you are all decribing, rattles really annoy me and apart from this the car is quite rattle-free (at the moment) I'll try wedging some card in there, or taking it out and re-glueing it.

Snap , my mk 4 cabby did it too , i got angry pulled it up , its held in by a couple of clips, ran a line of black silicone done the recess where it sits , and pushed it back in. WORD OF WARNING - If you do this i suggest you put the roof down overnight in the garage to let the fumes go , otherwise youll get a pretty large headache in the morning from the solvents in the silicone.

And the following morning it was all sorted and hasnt made a noise now for 3 months. ( I wouldnt use a bit of card to be honest as it will look crap , and isnt really the "Factory" thing to do is it?)

yep my car does that aswell !
like previusly posted, after it is pushed down hard it goes away for a few weeks, i was considering putting a bit of glue around the edges!!!!
so far that is the only rattle i am experiencing from my 03 plate *touch wood*
