I recently got a connects2 unit - they work perfectly with the mfd and steering controls. After much research and phone calling I got the DOPS004 to use with my m9900 - this has the MP3 ID tag too which comes up on the display. You can get them here

    http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_p...partno=DOPS004

Bit pricey, but the only thing that really works. Very good service from the above too. Don't think the halfords one's work with the mfd. These units plug into the unilink connector (for CD changer) and remote jack. Then your cd change plugs into the new module.

I picked up one of these in Halfords Gloucester for £29.99! It had no code on it so i think they got the price wrong - was waiting at the till for ages.

It works with my Sony CDX-MP40 head unit for the steering controls and the MFD, tho for some reason periodically the MFD goes blank (time and temp stay on, just no radio display) for a few seconds then comes back on again. Could be a loose connection tho, cos my install is kinda jammed in behind the dash in a haphazard fashion

Did this fix it for you Steve? I am thinking of buying the CDX-F7750 and would like the steering wheel controls and display to work.

    Cheers

Yeah, it works fine now, the volume controls and display work fine, it even scrolls the cd text along it!

It was a bugger to fit though, I had to remove the glove box to get all the wires out the back of the radio hole!
