    Lowering springs on sri suspension

SRi and SXi suspension is 25mm lower than a standard astra so i was wondering...if i was to put 30mm lowering springs on the car, would it be 55mm lower than a standard astra? or just 30mm lower than a standard astra?

Would i see much difference in handing with a set of springs? Would it be at a sacrifice of ride quality?

30mm lower than a "normal" (e.g. LS) astra.

so i'd be spending around £100 or more for a 5mm drop

looks like its gunna be 40mm springs then...can't afford a full coilover kit and i'm guessing 40mm is the maximum without shocks?

Is it worth spending on 40mm springs for just a 15mm drop?

IMO, it's not worth going to 40MM with standard springs because the ride is too harsh.

A 30MM drop has showed some good results; Mike Warner and mixedupste have shown significant drops.

ive got 55mill(apperantly) springs on just now with no shock upgrade as of yet dr shabzzz,
i only get to drive the thing once a month or so tho so its not doing it much damage.
rough ride tho. wouldnt reccomend it at all tho if your using it daily tho, not without some shock upgrade on the way quickly anyway

I have a coupe turbo and put on 35mm eibach lowering springs. It lowers the car a hell of a lot, so I believe it will be 35mm lower than what you have at the minute. I would not recommend going any lower on standard shocks, as IMHO this is dangerous. Some may disagree and say they have done it and its fine, thats their opinion.

If you drop it 35mm then it'll lower it 35mm over what it is currently.

    so 25mm + 35mm = 60mm lower than a normal Astra.

    no turbo scott is wrong

its a sxi so its already lowered over the LS 25or so millls

Yeh i understand, but turbo scott and J90RDN are both saying that from 30mm springs. i will get more than a 30mm drop overall due to having sri suspension??

is this true? can anyone else confirm?
