    info on rocker cover gasket

Hi all could anyone tell me how easy it is to fit a rocker cover gasket and if there is a special way to remove and refit these?
Mine is leaking and been told to get it sorted but never to sure about doing stuff like this in case i make a right hash of it and car will never work again lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers peeps

    It's fairly easy..

You'll need to take the cover off, then remove the old gasket, carefully not letting any bits of it fall into the engine.

Refit a new one (some people smear some oil on it the help it seal).

Then put the cover back on - - you'll need to tighten them up to a specific torque.
    (using a torque wrench)

Its not dificult. I did this on my 2.0 16v and its just 2 bolts for the spark plug cover, 10 for the rocker cover, swap the gasket and a think their are 10 o-rings where the bolts are then all back together again.

I thought the same as you that i didn't want to mess it up but it was fine.
