Smile Milltek Pre Cat - Now With Pics **

Picked up the Milltek Pre Car yesterday.

What a bit of engineering - it even has a plaque welded on with the name 'Milltek' and the best bit " Made In England " !

Good old British beef - so long as the car goes like a mad cow when it's fitted !

In case anyone is intrested some pics of the Milltek Pre Cat:

I think it's a bloody nice bit of kit - the plaque really finish's it off.

Get it on and let your Turbo breath. You will notice the difference.

Do it yourself!!!!! I did mine, and although it is a bit fiddly, its more satisfying than paying someone else to do it. You will need some 6mm bolts and nuts, a can of WD40 and some patience. I am suprised your precat didnt come with the bolts in it, mine did. You need to decide wether you want to fit the Turbo gasket, by all accounts, the factory dont fit gaskets to the turbo, but vauxhall sell them . Seeing as i had gone to the trouble of getting the new gaskets, i fitted them, but i know of a few people who have got them to seal ok without the gaskets.

It may be worthwhile getting a mate to give you a hand too

Yeah this is the problem - I have looked at the standard Pre Cat, I think it has a gasket on the lower flange, although someone said normal high temp exhaust sealer would do the job just as well.
The Turbo gasket is £11.80 + and the bottem gasket is £7.25 + .

My other problem is my car goes into Vauxhall on Wednesday for 2nd service - if they notice the Pre Cat Replacement Pipe will the invalidate my warranty?

Was really getting geared up having a go tomorrow morning .....
