    Car's going in tonight

Car's going into Nash of vauxhall tonight to have the petrol consumption checked, as it's only averaging 26mpg, thats with me nanny driving everywhere. it's just done 257 miles to £38 of 83.9 petrol.

Probably get given a 1.0 corsa to play with lol.

They will probably say there's nothing with it and charge me £40 for the tech2.

I hate to say it, but that is normal. Mine does the same sort of MPG and have had it checked twice. They uploaded some new software and it did help a bit and improve throttle response, but generally sounds like that’s ok for a 2.2.

Don’t know if a reset of the ECU would help or not.

I take it that its the 2.2 you drive?

i would expect about 30 mpg if your driving like a granny

i had a similar problem with my GSI as i was getting 22mpg and that was driving like a granny and it was a mix of town and city and VXL said there was nowt wrong with it even although it wasnt holding boost at high revs

Yeah craig, a 2.2 coupe on an 03 plate, my 2.2 sri was a 52 plate. So what happened in the end then mate???

According to some reports on the net and vauxhall, it should averaging 34mpg.

they gave a brand new 1.4 astra breeze as a coutesy car, not bad, dont like the seats, or the alarm for no seatbelt, the interior is very bland as well.

How about 280 miles to a 40-litre tank with a 1.2? City driving is a killer.

Vauxhall just rang and said there chief mechanic took it out for a spin and foiund nothing wrong with the consumption, and that he wont charge me this time...

still dont think the petrol is right though.....200 miles out £30...and 250 miles out of £38, but if i boot it, it would half straight away.
