    MK3 Astra - Central Locking . . .

    MK3 Astra - Central Locking . . .

    got a problem with a mates mk3.
The central locking is draining his battery.
He assumes it is this because when he removes the fuse, all is well.

Any known problems ?, or where do we start to look for the problem ?

    Cheers

How long is it taking to drain the battery?

Nothing that can really drain the battery unless the relay is constantly pulsing due to a faulty relay or switch on either of the front doors.

Not a problem i've ever come accross

Make sure no after market items have been linked into the same fuse circuit (alarm!!)

I'll let him know...there's nothing else on that fuse is there ?

I'm thinking it's maybe a stuck motor being on all the time.
It will drain the battery overnight.

Nothing else on the fuse no and the motor is only pulsed for the 1 or 2 seconds that the relay pulses it for so more than likely that but then TBH the motors are likely to be burnt out
