new new tyres and can get some great deals on 215/35 rubber.

will i feel much more discomfort ? or barely noticable ?.

I thought that measurement was the width of the tire not the height. In other words they won't fit.

35 is the aspect ratio of the width ie 35% or 215/225 which means the height of the tyre is slightly smaller. Think it works out about 7mm difference.

i love the stretched look so 215's it is.

Sy - what compo's have you got ?. Any pics ?.

    Cheers

Compo MOs in white...as seen below

Danny I've never once caught the edge of my rims cornering hard or hitting pot holes and at 8" wide they are stretched lol Only thing I have caught them on is the kerb

    Current 225/35x18
    New 215/35x18

    Current RR:307.35mm
    New RR:303.85mm

    Current circumference:1931.14mm
    New circumference:1909.14mm

    Difference in circumference:-22mm or -1.14%
So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 69.2mph

Chris, are the tyres for those wheels we both like as they are 8.5j so a 215 is gonna be a real stretch on those rims

think for that width of rim a 225 is gonna be a lot safer as you will appear to loose hight as a result of the stretch fit
