    Esp?

I know I have TC but im not sure how to tell if the cars got ESP is there a way from looking? I know car mats are made differently due to part of the ESP being in the footwell so how do you know the difference?
    Cheers

The TC light comes on with the ignition but this is linked with ESP so accordinging to the manual there is no way of telling from the dash lights.

But aren't TC and ESP two different things?

TC cuts power to your wheels, allowing traction, while ESP does the opposite or something?

Looking at the astra manual if ESP or TC are used the same icon on the dash flashes. Unless I'm reading the wrong thing?

Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems contradictory for that to happen. I'm fairly certain ESP doesn't cut power to your wheels when it comes into effect, it keeps you in a straight line and helps you keep control of the car if it was in icy weather for example.

If there is no ESP light on the dash, my guess is you don't have it.

ESP (electronic stability program) is an advanced form of TC (traction control), it (ESP) monitors all the wheels and if it detects a slide it will apply the brakes in an effort to stop it. TC only operates on the driven wheels and will stop wheel spin.
Thats my understanding of the systems, I'm sure someone with more knowlegde will enlighten us
