Mate, your going down the same route as I did. When I had the MK4 SRi, I saved up for ages and then had a fully bodykit fitted and the car looked great. All left that needed doing was set of alloys and lowering (looks wise).

Anyway, a month after, I took part in a AS RR at AMD and I was the only one of the two SRis running, as the rest were turbos. All the turbos were churning out 200 bhp (bar one iirc) and I thought, I got to get me one of those. One week later I owned a GSi (7 months), kept on conking out on me and I PX it. I do feel kinda gutted about the SRi and should not have px it for the GSi, but like you I was jealous of the turbo owners.

All I am saying is think long and hard before doing anything too drastic, as jealousy is a dangerous game mate.

Im sounding like a old man arent I

not at all, see what ur saying, not always greener on the other side, why give up a good car for something faster that could cost you loads in repair bills

might treat my car to something at the end of the month, try get the feeling back, but at the moment im not liking my car, got a dent in the bonnet and the bumper is a shade darker than the car

The novelty wears off very quickly. Wait until your friend gets fedup with every idiot wanting to race it, even thought its only a GTS, they will just see the skyline badge.

I just keep telling myself that the SRi is the absolute most I can afford insurance wise.

So in theory, I own one of the fastest cars available for my age,

which always makes me feel better...
