these statements always say to me "if its not the price I want I will take it of the auction with 1minute to go"
"THIS CAR HAS NO RESERVE I HAVE THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW THIS ITEM FROM AUCTION AS IT IS ADVERTISED ELSE WHERE"
Yeah but it's never going to go for that price. I predict 6 grand which is still amazing cheap.
Wouldn't he just put a reserve on?Originally Posted by MatG
putting a reserve on shows how much you wont for it, this in turn puts people of straight away from bidding.
aye, i dont like the way they put on the whole "i got it for sale else where"
he prob aint got it for sale any where else
They can't actually do that. I saw some alloys being sold in the same manner - he said ' If the item doesnt reach xxxx amount before the final 12 hours I will pull the auction'...Yeah right, so you bid and win, and he pulls the auction...Or you bid, win, and they say they sold it elsewhere - they think its ok to do this. These people do my head in, to be honest. You can't just contravene the law/rules by putting a disclaimer on lol. Putting a reserve also costs more with ebay fees ( I think )...Where's that report button :P
