NOS.....? Whats the deal with this ?

Ok is this legal or is this illegal?

Have to tell insurance or not?

I'm getting conflicting answers on this one at the min.

Also does any one know of any one thats decent at fitting this and at a decent price.

    Cheers

its legal to carry it but not to use it, some insurance companies do some sort of cover for it, I think it just covers you in the case of the bottle being faulty etc (like vans that carry gas etc) Adrian Flux is one of the companies that offers cover.

Fitting it to the 1.8 is ok but is still a risk! add a controller to the set up and it becomes a lot safer

All you will ever need to know and without the doubt the best kits can be found here:

Do not even think about any other kits that are about WON are the best and most reliable.

so, do you mean carry it - the bottle, or actually have it fitted? So does that mean i could have nos fitted to my car, ready to use, but it's legal, and i dont have to tell the insurance aslong as i dont use it? Ive read conflicting responces to this before aswell

I recommend telling your insurance everything......they will use anything against you to wriggle out of paying.

It's just not worth 'not declaring' anything.
(unless you can afford to lose the cost of your car and anything else involved in an accident)

Its legal to carry in the car but HAS to be disarmed via the arming switch at all times whilst on the roads. USe off road is permitted, but it has to be declared to the insurance company.

Most cars with decent mileage and been looked after can take 50bhp without to many problems.

What law says it's not legal for use on the road?
