    Excuse me, it doesnt fit...

    I just got the Vectra C air intake from Vauxhall and it doesnt fit.

    Took the original off my Z20 LET ... and the new one doesnt line up with the screw holes... no matter what i do, the front is inline with the bodywork and the thinner end that goes inside it right upagainst the bodywork and none of the screws line up to the holes where the original came out ...

    Is it meant to "NOT" be fastened in? cos thats bollox ... what if it came lose?

    anyone shed sum light on this?

    You dont use the original holes, well i didnt anyway.

    I used one of the holes that is further left than the original ones.

    I only did it for piece of mind but once you have plumbed all the piping in to the airbox, its rock solid anyway.

    See pic, you can just make out where i screwed it in;

    Yeah you screw it in where the VIN Plate would normally be. But as Ollie said above, this is purely for pice of mind more than anything cos once its all in the pipe hardly budges!

    rhys - its an easy job, the adaptor is a bit fiddly but as long as your patient (which im not!!), you will be fine.

    If im honest i cant say i noticed much of a difference....maybe slightly more responsive but i cant be sure whether its my brain playing tricks on me!

    for 12quid i cant complain!!
