dannysport18 sent me some superb trim (as in bump strips?)
cleaning stuff with some other bits I brought of him, gotta
say well chuffed with it, used it for the 1st time today and
they look newer than the 05 cars!
Easiest stuff to use... I rubbed it in with a towel and wiped
    away the excess, job done!

Oh, it was called Auto Glym Bumper Care below...

Get the best of the poilsh off the trim with a stiff nail brush (or similar) before you do anything else. Then use the above monkey snot type stuff - easy on easy off

Smile faded trim & wax residue...

Try some rubbing alcohol & water (50/50) with an old toothbrush or diluted SimpleGreen / citrus based all purpose cleaner. They'll clean it up easily. Then put on a dressing. Most work for a while. I use Meg's Gold Class Trim Detailer & 303 Aerospace protectant. Just bought some Mothers Back to Black to try out this weekend too... Use whatever is available to you.

I was thinking of getting some new primered rubbing strips for the Astra from a CDX model Holden sells here. Then paint them. No more cleaning & dressing! Only problem is Holden want over $400Aus for the set of 4 pre-primed strips. Ouch... May just pull mine off, sand, prime & paint myself. Cheaper & easier option. Good luck Daneng66...
