    Question About Bhp

    Hi all can anyone tell me the bhp for my astra,the astra is a 96 1.8 16v sport and mods are just a sportex exhaust.
    Any help would be appreciated and if there are more mods to get more power.

    Think ur car is 115bhp standard. Exhaust catback might of added 4-5bhp. If its a b/b barely anything.

    What other mods can we do to boost more bhp but nothing to drasstrict.

    cat back

    remap

    how much does a re-map cost and where can u get it done

    the 1996 should bang out about 130bhp ish with some mods
    1.sort out the air box & a K&N air filter for the air box £35 a few bhp
    2.fit some new ht leads if the ones on the car are old an past it
    3.give the car a oil & filter change £30 diy
    4.new spark plugs £20
    5.new fule filter £8 from vxl + 24p for new clips
    should help

    Only point one is a 'mod' that may give you a few BHP - all the rest would constitute just normal servicing/maintenance IMO.

    I fail to see why these would give you more power over standard - all it will do is help return an older car closer to the original power output.
