Question Standard and CS3 Boost Levels?

I'm getting pretty much these exact same figures. I just fitted the boost gauge today. Seems to overboot to 10psi but sometimes flicks over to 12psi. It holds 8psi most of the time, sometimes drops a bit at higher revs in 4th and 5th.

I didn't want to bump the old thread - but from what I read there, my boost levels seem about right, right?

Anyone know what boost levels a CS3 map should run?

    Cheers.

Levels are fine, anything over 5500rpm and the turbo runs out of puff as its small.

As for CS3, it should be the same as Regals Phase 2 and similar to AMD's remaps. All been discussed before, but should hold around 14psi in 3/4/5 and maybe a tad lower in the 1/2 gear as its limited in them. May get some overboost upto 16-18psi with the map

Nice - I'm getting CS3, FMIC and full exhaust the following Tuesday . I assume they will use your car as a practice run so that they are sure they will get mine right!

It's about four hours for me - I'll be going up the night before and staying at a travel lodge.

During the drive into work I was able to gauge (no pun intended) the boost level patterns more. It does indeed overboost to 12psi in higher gears, but only when putting my foot down at lower revs. At higher revs, it seems to overboost to 10psi. It holds a good 8psi very consistantly through the gears - quite impressive really that the ECU can control it so well.

If CS3 does indeed hold 14psi and overboost to 16-18psi, that should be a major improvement!

I went through the same thing a couple of weeks ago Mike (fitting boost gauge) and my levels are consistant with yours.

It is good to know that the car has been running right since I bought it last year.
