Went to the bodyshop today to pay for all the work being done at the moment and I thought I`d better get the car booked in for next month to have the tailgate flushed and a few other bits sorted.
The guy came out to the car with me and had a look at the tailgate. He said that instead of welding a plate in the number plate reccess, the better way would be to `skim' the whole tailgate, using a thin plate to cover the entire bootlid.
What do you people think about doing it this way.
Considering they only charged me £200 to spray and fit my new front bumper, spray bonnet extension, spray new mirrors and spray hella front light covers, I`m more than happy to pay that little bit extra as I know the end result will be top notch.
So, I asked the guy how much was it going to cost to flush the tailgate, either by using a small plate or a complete skim of the bootlid, "well, mention us when you go to shows and............ call it £200 for cash"
Can life get any better ???. The job they done on my front bumper was amazing as it`s a fibre glass one and needed a bit of prep before hand.
