    Front Brakes

can anyone tell me what kinda socket is needed to release the front caliper on a mk4 astra sport 1.8.

ive took the dust cap off but cant get to see what kinda bolts they are to get the right tools to release the caliper and change the front pads.

    cheers people.

haven't done an Astra G yet but any other Vauxhall I've done (Astra F, Corsa B) it's been a 7mm allen socket that was required to get the calipers off.

yeah its 7mm but you might not see them staright away cos you have to flick of a little plastic head cover the size of a 5p coin

you wont need a caliper winding tool for the front ones mate cos the piston on the front just push's straight back its only the back ones that need the piston winding.
