    Fitted the Veccy Intake etc...

Was very straight forward just very fiddly, every time i go anywhere near the engine bay it seems it involves doing things that rip my hands to shreds!!!

    Oh well its all good.

The verdict - i am sure i noticed a few flat spots had gone that were there previously, maybe a bit more responsive, and also the sound of the dump valve seems to have got slighty louder!

Now im not sure if thats just my imagination as i had heard such good storys about them or it really has made a difference. Didnt get that much chance to test it last night but will give it another go today.

All in all it seems like 12quid well spent

One thing though, i am still running the standard air filter element, is it a necessity to change this too? if so what one is the way to go and where is the cheapest place to buy from?

    Thanks

Not a necessity, but worth it IMHO.

I swear by Pipercross filters, Ffoeg swears by K&N filters.

We've both had them on our cars for years, very much of a muchness.
LMF sell them, Roadrunner in Notts are cheap too. Might be worth fining somewhere local tho and saving on the postage.

I de-restrcited my airbox on monday and followed up with fitting the Veccy intake pipes today.....also ripping my hands to shreds! Took a little while to get the old pipe out and the new one in just rite. Just need to tidy up with screwing it in..decided to pi55 down as i was doin it.

Odered a Pipercross filter from www.motorsportworld.co.uk for £31.41 last wekk....which seemed to be cheaper than anywhere else. hopefully will be here monday to fit on too.
