    Cool Howdy (newbie here)

Hello people, i'm new here so i just thought i'd introduce myself.

    I'm Ben i'm 17 and i'm from Lancashire.

I've always loved the Mk4 astra and now have my heart set on one as my first car.

I'll probably be learning to drive at the end of this year and in the mean time i'd like to learn as much about the astra as possible before i go and buy one.

Cheers people and i look forward to talking to you all.

p.s. whats the smallest engine they do in a Mk4 astra and what insurance group is it?

The 1.4 is ins group 4 I believe. Same as a 1.2 clio - go figure! My mate had a 115 out of his with me in the car. But speedos always over read a tad.

    Welcome to AS btw.

My 2.0 DTi is only a group 5e and the 1.6 SXi's are the same group too
you get 100bhp out of both standard.

In europe you can get a 1.2 though that'd be really fast.
