    Brake pads

How can you tell which brake pads are needed for your Astra Turbo?

I know they are either Bosh or Lucas, but I don't really wanna jack my car up pull the wheel off etc to find it out! Any easier ways??

Difficult to describe this, so bear with me

On my lucas calipers - its written on the side that is parrallel to the inside of the rim - there's a hole in the centre where you can look through to check the pad thickness - it's got raised lettering on there.

    hope you get my drift:

Depends on your rims - I originally took mine off as the dealer couldn't tell me, but now I know where I'm looking I can with my 5 spoke 17's on.

I'd guess that they're lucas - bosch ones were dropped as they are the main culprits for 'howly brake syndrome' - but best to check for yourself

Yup they are Lucas ones! Cheers for the description, got the general idea. Thought it was gonna say it in bigger letters though!

Ahh well, brought the right pads now, so can get em fitted!
