    I love the Cav GSI and it's great to see one in good condition.

    Not sure I'd have choosen a 2.5V6 to transplant into it though, bit of a dog of an engine at that age IMHO.

    that was done by DarrenM from cavweb, took quite a bit of work but was worth it by the looks of his, had to sell it in the end tho,

    no the 4x4's were either a 2.0 8v (very very rare) and most commonly the C20XE, its just a cav GSi 4x4 which had the C25XE (v6) lump put in,

    the only cavs that had the C20LET's were the Cav Turbo 4x4's

    he had a GSi XE
    brought a rolling shell SRi
    Put the XE from Gsi into SRi
    then put the v6 in the GSi
    whilst rebuilding another XE for the SRi
    very complicated but in the end i think had to sell it all due to family comitments,

    Ace project which I followed on Cavweb. Much prefer the V6 over the XE. XE although a good engine is very harsh. V6 sounds glorious and has more torque....even than an TB'd XE.
