    rear brake caliper

took the astra into vxl today to get them to look at the hand brake only holding on one side they have told me it needs a new driver side rear brake caliper and a set of rear pads at a nice cost of £180 for the caliper and £66 for the pads

would you say this is about right or would i be better taking it to someone else

    i.e Kwickfit, ATS, etc...

oh also need to 2 link arms for the suspension at £62 fitted and they found an oil leek and have told me i need a new sump seal which is gonna cost a nice £88 which i can live with if i can get the claiper and pads done cheaper

Razor is yours a 2.0 SRi...? I think I may have the same problem... I get a lot of squeeling from my rear brakes every now and then and as you say mine are only holding on one side too...

200 quid is a good price... I looked into it, and would be a bout 120 for one... sure i didn`t pay that for mine... I`m sure mine were about 60 quid tops but that was from a different company...
