    Front Arm Rest

Has anyone fitted a front central armrest to their MK4 3-door?

I'm thinking of buying one, but as I have a 3-door SRi, the front seat lumbar adjuster wheels are on the inside edge of each seat; I don't want to fit the armrest, then find that the adjuster wheels foul it each time the seat is tilted or when requring access to the adjusters.

Also, apart from the price, is their much difference in quality between the Irmscher/Vauxhall armrest and the item curently being sold by LMF?

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Kind regards

    Gordon

i have the arm rest from lmf and cant fault it. cant imagine driving without it. I dont think the lumbar adjusters do hit it. I had a 5dr and when moving the seats about it never got caught.
well worth the £60 tho =]

    I heard that as well.

I've got one on a 3 dr and the arm rest is wonderful - it's probably my most used mod. It doesn't foul the lumbar adjusters but they are a bit more difficult to operate - but how often do you adjust them anyway???.

Easy way - slide seat right back, adjust and slide back to position.

Yeah, I fitted the arm rest last week and its great. I also worried about it getting in the way of the lumbar support but it doesn't (even though I haven't adjusted the lumbar support for about a year now). It does change the way you have to pull up the hand brake because it over hangs it, but its not a problem at all. I got mine from LMF too.

Cheers for all the info peeps!!!!

Will contact LMF tomorrow and get one ordered up. Does mentioning this site to LMF result in any kind of discount, has anyone experience of this?

Looks a doddle to fit, but didn't want to get one then find it fouled the adjusters when tilting the seats.

    Kind regards

    Gordon

Fitting is two screws inside the back ashtray recess, and two into the centre console through the bottom of the armrest. Just take care with the measurements, but it shouldn't take more than 30 mins from opening the box to sitting in the drivers seat giving it a test.

I'll feel odd for a while but you'll soon get used to slouching on it
