Broadband (and keen dialup!) guys only - What do you think?

It takes a "little" while to download (it will open in quicktime) it is a 360deg shot from outside my place.... Nothing that exciting (i'll be honest) and it's pretty rough as it's my first one i've done! Any comments on it? It's about 8mb or so and is pretty quick on cable, but dialup, don't bother
I'm wanting to do another one today but make it work better by using a tripod, lol

That's brilliant How did you do that? I guess you have a really good camera with seperate shots put together?

    Cheers.

How about that one? This is a proper one which i intended to make into a "good" one....
Yeah, you need a good camera (i.e. if you pay £400 for a camera it's most likely not good enough), a digital SLR (which is my next camera) should be good for it, this latest one i had to spend an hour or so in paint shop pro fixing it up so the lens distortion and the darker edges, etc didn't show, it's not the easiest thing to do, but practise!! I use PanaVue software which is easy as for making panorama's, however it means more time editing to make it 'right'

[edit - this one is MUCH smaller about 3mb, much much better!]

Yeah, second one is much much better, i've got a third one that's not up... I'll put it up if people want to see It's over the "other side" of the area of the first one, further from the water... It's a good start, the more complex the images are (trees, etc) the harder they are to make them work.... Scenic is 100x easier than anything with movement.....
For the second one i used 16 photo's - the original bmp was 120mb! (one long image)... When wrapped and saved with QT it's much smaller! I've also found that the smaller (less detailed too) the original is, it significantly cuts down the final QT size...
My next step is to do more "up" and "down" so i can get a better view around There's not that much that i consider interesting for doing this though, i'll have to ask around for places people reckon i should go to do it

Oh yeah, tripod, definately tripod!!! 100,000x better! Also a camera that has full manual settings (WB, exposure, etc, etc)... You also really need a spirit level with you to make it "perfect" but the program i use allows me to adjust the angle the camera was at at the time, you lose a little bit of image, but it allows for small errors!
