    Hi,

Do fog lights have to be in any particular position?

    Thinking of putting them here?

Make a bracket out of alloy/steel (paint black to hide it) and fix it behind the
bumper securely (see pic below), place your foglights where you want them and
draw around them with a white marker (whatever shows up best). Either cut
away at the grill or fix the fogs with the grill inplace (depending on the layout of
the fogs) Not sure how your fogs will fix to the bracket, you will have to use
    your imagination.
Then wire them up using the existing loom (2 wires with a male connector) I'm
pretty sure brown is earth/negative. Then cut the male connector of and use
those little red clips (name?) and connect to fog,

    hope this helps.

I've still not fitted my foglights in the Reiger. Like you I couldn't figure out how the brackets fitted. However I'm fairly sure that foglights have to be fitted in certian locations. There are laws governing placement, height from ground etc. Fairly sure they have to be under the headlights, which means in those recesses next to the main grill area. I've got some stainless steel which I can make brackets out of now so I'll get round to it soon. Wiring depends on whether you had fogs before ( I did) if so just wire them as the old ones were. If not you'll need a relay, new headlight switch with foglight switch in and hope you have the required wiring in place. Some Astras do, some don't.
