It's quite common to see items on eBay from China/Hong Kong, which are listed and sell for 1 penny etc. I've bought a few things like that, including torches which retail for about £30 in the UK, but are about £15 shipped from Hong Kong. Check the user's feedback ratings and also make sure you take up the offers of insured shipping, as there is no proof of shipping from the Far East. If they were unscrupulous and decided not to send the item or if it got lost you will have no comeback without insurance. I have had one item lost on it's way from Hong Kong and the seller sent another one when I never received the first item.

USD36 is only £20 which sounds correct as it's sent from HK

I''ve got stuff from china/hong kong as well for silly money off ebay - never had a problem. After all, most the the stuff is actually made out there anyways.

Don't just check the feedback but check what items they relate to - if they are similar to what your after the guy's more than likely legit.

Beaware, as far as I know ebay and paypal do not cover costs of delivery (in terms of protecting the buyer). If the seller turns out to be rogue then you will have no come back except for the cost of the item e.g. 1p. The fact that delivery cost a huge amount makes no difference.

This also gets around the seller having to pay a huge cost for listing the item as its value is only 1p. You do not have to pay listing fees for the cost of the delivery.

Be very, very careful with things like this.
