They are fine as a phone but they still have that crappy Samsung menu that makes everything twice as heard to access as every other phone. Stick to your Nokias m8 or buy an Ericsson K700i

I second that. The mp3 player is easy to use and if you can get a bigger mmc for it you are laughing. I got a 256mb from ebay for bout 5quid.

I suppose the equivenlant nokia to the D500 would be the 6230 but i would go for the much better 7610. You can pick the 6230 up brand new on orange PayNgo for £169.99 and get it unlocked to any network:

the same mate as above has had trouble sending pictures to some other phones, have you had anything like that ?

i like the idea of the mmc

but no flash ? and only VGA camera compared to SXGA of samsung D500

    nokia menus are the daddy

wo wo wo... at this point i'll steer this topic away from networks, contracts, costs, unlocking, etc. many a pub has errupted during the 'which contract is best arguement' eh

I'm just looking at the D500 handset and what is better than it and why
(but thanks for the link anyway)

i'm off to see what a 7610 does cheers

ive had a d500 for about six weeks now and ive got to say it is really good
the camera is spot on video not brilliant but still good
the menu is ok its only nokia lovers what argue about it because its not identical to theirs but is still very easy to use
i had a nokia 7600 before and was glad to change but even that was a good phone shame about the 3 network tho
    hope this helps

    Paul
