    Question Fitting an electic aerial

I am fitting an electric aerial to replace the manual one in a 1996 Astra. The parts person states that the harness is alreadt in place and can be accessed behind the trim. Could anybody confirm and give any hints or advice on doing this work please.

My old 1994 cesaro had the harnessin place, but you have to by the vauxhall aerial, not any other make. I almost made this mistake, but got a the vauxhall in the end and I was lucky, because the plug on the aerial is the 'female' end, but if you get a halfords one, it has the 'male plug (or it might be the other way round, I can't remeber) either way buy from vauxhall. You have to take the boot panel to gain access to it.

It cna be quite fiddly to get to the plug that will be near your exsisting aerial.

As SXIScot says you must get a Vauxhall for it to plug striaght in, and for it to sit on the rear 1/4 panel correctly.
