    Mobile phone advice..

Right i've made do with crappy phones for a good part of a year now and each and every single one has f**ked up on me including the 8310 now.....

I'm not bothered about a camera phone as i have my digi camera...

but i have been looking at the Nokia N-Gage. Carphone warehouse are doing it on Pay as you go for £99.99 with a free game (Fifa 2005)..

anyone else got one or know someone with one? what they like and how easy are they to use?? whats the quality of the games like?? what other features has it got.. i.e picture messaging, WAP and the Such?? and are they really worth the money,

Looking more towards this for the simple reason that i'm not driving right now and i'm bored when ever in the car.. so something like this would kinda cure my boredom.. and it doubles as a mobile.. and IIRC it's around the same price as the GB Advance which aint a mobile..

Sorry mate - they are smartphones running a cutdown version of MS windows (called Windows Mobile 2003). With it being MS they are fully 'hackable' and there are loads of programs games and utilities available for them.

There are various verions around but the more commom ones are those on Orange. I got an E200 which is the previous model and will be getting the new one (C500) at the end of Feb.

clique ici or check out www.modaco.com for all the gen on these phones

They work exactly like a computer - via the start button and hey presto a menu pops up.

After owning SPV for two years now I could never go back to a 'mainstream' phone now - they all seem so complicated in comparison.

I'm not sure about the C500's as they are new and the 'developers' on modaco probably haven't got round to cracking it yet, lol.

The E200 can be quite easily. I had some software on my SPV that could unlock Nokia's via IR - how popular was I??

As for customisable, what phones other can you do this with????

There's some pretty major flaws with the N-Gage. To talk you have to hold it on its edge like this:

I think this looks stupid in my opinion. You also need to remove the back cover and battery to change games which can get annoying. You might as well get some top quality phone that can play 3D games (needs to support something like Java3D). You can download some games for free off the internet. You can then also watch movies on the phone and its a decent size. The Sony Ericsson K700 and Nokia 6230 are good phones, not sure if its in the sub £100 range though.
