    Lowering my coupe......

Ok people, I have an Se2 and want to lower it.

I have been told its 20mm down from standard. I dont know whether to get springs or to get proper suspension.

I will be getting 18's later on so maybe get coilovers at the same time, but as for now I just want it riding a little lower!

I really need pictures of your ride height, and system you run.

    FK highsport coilovers

If you want to go the coilover route there's no point IMO in just getting springs for now

Yeh i kno. If i can get them for a good price I might opt for FK cos they seem to crop up quite often. How do you find the ride?

Get Eibach over standard dampers. I've fitted these to a Coupe Turbo running 18" Irmy Sportstars and they do work really really well, nice chassis control and no harshness.

If you're going to 18" rims you won't want to go too low anyway, as you are running into problems with clearances that will mean seriously stiff springing to prevent fouling and other issues

I'm lowering my coupe in the next few weeks and after taking a demo ride with Autosparks, I'm keen on the FK Coilovers too.

irmscher springsd are very expensive, but i managed to get hold of some for £170 delivered from joerg ages ago (don't know if he still does stuff for astrasport members?) otherwise LMF had them for £200 i think - try giving them a call.

then fit them yourself you lazy goit

as for the other bit - i have koni adjustable dampers and FK springs (60/40) and it looks top notch height wise... also handles very nicely
