Car wash scratched my alloys! :(

I took my car through a drive through car wash today, the one which pulls your car through the different stages of the wash.
I have been through it before, never had a problem. Today when I went through the guy who guided me onto the pulley must not have lined me up right, my whole car shook and made a terrible banging noise throughout the whole of the wash! Obviously there was nothing I could do once the wash started, when I got out I looked at my wheels, I could smell a rubber smell as if the tyres were really hot and the outside of my alloys which were on the pulley are properly scuffed!
I went to complain, but was fobbed off with a customer service number. I called it just now and there closed for Christmas. Do you think they will referb my alloys? Iím well ticked off about this!

Sorry to hear that but imo you shouldn't really take your car through a car wash for a number of reasons.

    1, Bristles scratch your paint
2, The pulley always catches the wheel on low profiled tyres
3, They don't actually clean your car very well.

Hope you get a good responce from the customer service though!

Last time I went through an ARC car wash in my astra, they must of had the concentrate on the cleaner mixed up wrong as it marked the paint on the bonnet and front wings. I did not realise till I got home, and had to t-cut and re-wax those areas. Now I just use a drive thru hand car wash and it is the same money.

I once took my old G into a car wash and it stripped the paint of 1 wheel, complained called customer service who was sending a claim form thourgh.
    And the out come was

I wrote the car off a week later, and sheered the wheel completley off. Kinda ruined what evidance I had.
Not much help to you but there you go.
In future avoid those automated car washes not worth the agro.

Hope it wasn't an IMO (or now I think that they are called ARC) as they have a disclaimer saying not to take your car through if your tyres are below a certain profile (something like 50). It is on the price board
