    Recomended insurance companys

Can any of you guys recomend me a insurance company thats dirt cheap,
Still trying to get cover for this skoda fabia, and the average quote is 2k.
    cheapes being 1700.
I was getting the same quote on a astra GSi.
They want 1200 for a 1.0 corsa lol.
And tip to first time drivers.
Get insurance of your own, it catches up with you in the end.
    Avoid mums and dads policys.

or get yourself a £50 shed, insure it under your own name and never even drive it.
Do this for a couple of years whilst driving on a parents policy, at the end of a year, you have a NCB from your £50 shed!

Try Elephant, thats who I'm with so I would say that. Or CIS sometimes can be good, Adrian Flux possibly. It all depends on the driver, what's good for me might be ridiculous for you.

I also got my g/f and her mum on my policy, brought it down loads!
Her mum has an IAM certificate.

    have you tried tescos??

endsleigh aren't bad either although they will quote loads if you get an online quote but then ring you to tell you they can lower the quote by quite a bit can normally hangle about 20% from them dont understand why they dont just give a good quote in the first place!!

Elephant or Bell Direct, part of the admiral group.

I'm with Bell Direct, £470, Full NCB(Protected), Age 29 with a wife (age 24) on the policy with 9 months driving (since she passed her test)

    Not bad for IG 15.

I found em cheap on my old car too, but a bunch of twunts when I did have a prang though. First they're like "we'll back you up to the hilt" next it's "we wanna settle on a 50/50" won't bore you with the details, but thought their cust service were crap.

im with elephant, only problem is how specific they seem to be about mods, and they rnt very clear about them on the website. i dont intend to stay with them, just getting this years no claims then im gonna hunt around for someone else, preferably one that doesnt give much of a damn about mods because i know what insurers can be like when it comes to payingout.
