The Joy is Back. - for now.

Just a little feedback following my cars first MOT

Well - it did pass - eventually - after having to get some work done on it including new rear discs and pads -but boy what a difference it has made.

Car also need new CV boot on the drivers side - it had a small hole in it - SOMEHOW?? - but as a result needed replacing

so after a day in a Corsa 1.2 SXI - i got my turbo back yesterday and boy - does she feel great - brakes are razor sharp now - out braked myself a little a couple of times on the way home as i wasn't quite used to having that response.

Car seems to feel very taut and together after recieving some TLC from the dealer - Guerneys of Newbury.

Has really spurred me on - want to get the front brakes done now - going to go for the Red-Dot grooved from Regal - but gonna stick with the standard callipers for the moment. - Also got Phase 1 on the cards at the start of the new year - and that'll be my lot. - Just gonna look after it from there on in until I get bored again!.

Also little tip for those of you who have pending MOT's - take a walk into your VX dealer - they are doing something now called MOT insurance. - £35 quid for the year guarentees your car to pass - as it covers repair work up to £750 but you need to have it before you go for the test - does involved paper work so you'll need to allow a couple of months i reckon inorder for it all to come through - VX only started it recently - so unfortunatley - i couldn't benefit - as my wallet can testament!.

Good news that your car got though, I will need to check out my rear brakes before mine in March. Will take a traip to Vauxhall and see about this insurance package. So basically if you ahe it you can walk in and no matter what needs done they will fix it to the tune of £750....? Sounds like a bargan to me for £35 a year.

There are a few expections like tyres and major major stuff - but everything else is covered - all of my parts would have been sorted under the cover - instead it cost 10 times as much - and that is not exaggeration.

If your car is still in warranty and you have taken the extended 2 years AA cover for £99 after year 1 you get this MOT insurance free.

So your first MOT will be covered.

Vauxhalls MOT insurance has been around for 2years now, you cant take it out before MOT'ing your car though. You MOT the car then take out the insurance for next years MOT......it covers upto £750 of parts labour & Vat although there are certain items which arent covered under the policy.....its well worth taking out.......if anyone wants details of the policy send me a PM and Ill get some info posted out.
