    Clutch i think

Was driving to work this morning and when i pulled away to overtake on the motorway i could smell, what i think was, clutch. It could have been the car infront but it could have been mine. If it is mine how much does it cost to get the clutch replaced?

Try the old handbrake trick... Apply handbrake and slowly pull away (no mre than a foot),
if the clutch slips you will know about it, If not then nothing to worry about...

    Hope this helps

Clutches really smell quite aweful usually if they are burning, so you will definately know, just pop the bonnet and sniff... it will stink

I found this out the other day, stuck on a dead steep hill and having to crawl up behind traffic.
You won't even need to pop the bonnet, the stink will fill the whole car, and it takes a bit for the smell to go.
