Im guessing head gasket as there is alot of pressure from the water tank when cold first thing in the morning im losing a good say half a cup of water out of the water tank, i havent checked the pipes but i will do first thing in the morning just to be sure, i am thinking towards head gasket or crack in the head or somewhere along them lines, im not getting any rise in the temp gauge also im not getting any loss in power so im quite stumped on where to start with it

in the diesels i have found there is a heat transfer unit. my mates had problems with his but he was loosing oil. the oil 'turned up' in the radiator and water expansion tank!!!! the oil cools the engine the goes into the heat transfer unit. the water is on the outside chamber and cools the oil. if the seal fails or a hole forms either the oil is pumped into the water system or the water is pumped into the oil system!!!! get it checked, his was a 2.0DTi. cost £278 in masterfit centre to fix!!!!
