The Z20LET's are a strong motor, although can suffer from a couple of smallish issues, water pumps are almost guarranteed to go, but if the car is new enough will be replaced under warranty, they'll also give you a new cam belt and rollers

cam belt service is at 40K

Oil service is at every 20k if you go by the book but most of us do one every 6k, so try and find one with low miles or someone thats done the extra services

usually get about 30mpg mixed miliage

Nice one m8, is it true that if the water pump goes it will snap the cam belt also, as i know i run this risk with my clio at the moment ? 30 mpg sounds good for a 2.0 turbo

they're really not that thirsty mate, you'll use a tad more if you get it remapped, but you would expect that.

The water pumps get noisy, it'll sound like a buggered bearing IIRC. If you don't get it done you may run the risk of throwing off the cam belt, but you should notice the noise way before that

Even with mine fully mapped and tuned it still returned 28mpg on a run, could drop to 20-22mpg if booted alot of the time, but its still not bad TBH.

cool, obviously pics when you get it.

full leather or leather/alcantara interior can add a touch of class, worth looking for

My average mpg is 23-24, but on a run, I have had 34.

I change the oil every 3000, which is about once a year now.

I`ve declared it SORN til April next, then it`s going up for sale.

In the mean time, if anyone`s interested, make me an offer.......... sensible please

    1) Fine so far
    2) Not good! I average about 21mpg (Bloody road works) that's all round town though. Get out on the motorway and I get 30mpg (Higher if you stay below about 90)
