    Can anybody help me?

I've got a 2002 mk4 astra 2.2 SRI, which I think is 20mm lower than a standard astra, my question is If I was to lower it by 35mm just on springs would it reduce the ride height by 35mm or just 15mm. (Does it have shortened dampers?)
Any help would be much apreciated.
    Thanks

To lower your car 30mm you will have to buy -50mm springs......your best bet is Eibach springs, these will lower it nicely (I ran these on my Astra GSi)......if you do a search you will find a few posts regarding this in which the part number of the springs is listed.....If you buy the -30mm springs its only going to lower it around 15mm which will barely be noticeable.

@Dave - where did you buy your springs and how much did you pay for them?

I bought mines from MMV Performance in Stirling 01786 44 88 00, would be lying if I said I knew exactly how much I paid for them as I bought my Bilstein dampers at the same time as the springs........plus I also get a really good discount there as well.

I thought you should only lower your car 35mm on standard dampers?
having it dropped 50mm did it upset the ride or anything?

Don't go lower than -40mm on standard dampers, any lower you'll need a full suspension kit.

Dave had Bilstein dampers with his -50mm Eibach springs

im just about to lower mine 40mm and uprate the suspension 25%. but uprating cos the standard dampers makes the car like a boat. need it more sterdy. and its a true 40mm. some suspension springs you get say 40mm but is almost only half that. getting them from sca international in norwich. theve got a website to contact them on
