    Smile First Wash

Gave the coupe it's first wash today after buying it a couple of weeks back.

It's only when you wash a car you start to appreciate it. To put this into perspective my last car was a Corsa Sport and the wife has a 5 door SXi. I'd wash the Corsa very regularly and the astra occassionally as the wife doesn't mind washing her car.

There is a huge difference between the two bodies, some things I'd never really thought about until washing them.

1 - I love the glass on the sides of the car. The way their is no metal seperating front from back is really cool when washing.
2 - The bumpers are slightly different, the coupe is a bit more, well bigger I suppose.
3 - All the body coloured bits like the roor rails and the bit at the bottom on the sides and the bump trim bit half way up the door.
4 - How big the window at the back is.
5 - How there aren't any windscreen washers on the bonnet on the coupe.

That's quite a lot, all the body coloured parts make a huge difference and the glass at the side is fantastic.

    LL

They aren't there on any MK4, the astra lost them on the MK3

Anyway there's something nice about washing your own car, treating it right. Only problem I fint with the coupe is getting under the rear spolier but lifting the boot helps and that just gives me the excuse the do in the boot shut to

Aye, that's right, it was the corsa that had them on the bonnet now I think back.

I enjoy washing the car as it gives me a chance to give the car a good look over and see if anythings been dented or chipped.

i hate washing a new car or motorbike for the first time, theres always something that you didnt see when buying it if its used. ok, so its usually just small cosmetic damage, but it still stands out all the time once youv'e found it.
