Put simply - I want one.
Test drove one today - 52 plate with 23K on the clock - £15995
Absolutley brilliant.- As standard it doesn't have much more power than my coupe turbo - but it is quicker - put the power down much better than the coupe - easy to see why 0-60 is so rapid - but the package and set-up is good - the overall effect is vastly superior. Ride is stiff but still compliant with small bumps - made my coupe on the konis feel like a track car - e.g vx220 or exige. - Power delivery too was great - nice progession then as you watch the needle near 1bar on the boost gauge - car whoooshes into fast forward. - You can really feel the quaife lsd doing its thing - through the steering. Many have found this problematic but it was alright to me. - I think its largely down to the fact i was expecting it to be a totally unmanagable rip-snorting - unbridled beast - and to be honest it wasn't. - Drive postition was good - higher than what i'm used to in the coupe - when i got back in - it felt like i was sitting on the floor. - RS chassis was sharp and really dialed in and tied down well. - Does expose the Astra.
As i said at the start - i would have one - but not sure i'd trade my coupe for it at the moment.
