Well, it's happened to another Astra.
We both got woke up this morning with a loud "bang" outside the house.
Looked outside didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, except nextdoors milkmans milk float was parked at an angle behind my car.
There was quite a pause from the "bang" to him running down nextdoors path. STRANGE? :?:
Zoe took my car down to pick her parents up. Her brother asked if i'd got a new set of rear lights?
The bl**dy milky hit my car. That pause was obviously when he was picking up my rear light lens. Bast~rd!
His manager rang the driver and he denied all knowledge, surprise surprise.
So i asked to look at the float.
Found part of a rear lens inbedded into the side of the aluminium edging on his float. Got an out of focus pic! ops:
Argue that one then?
Then went to the Police all they wanted to do was charge him with not stopping after and accident. (fair enough) but i just want it reparing with little Fuss.
If i don't get a positive answer tommorow i'll go back to the Police.
Took loads of Pics of the damage even after i'd removed my rear light.
and after visiting the milky i've borrowed Ste_Goffy's standard rear lights.
BIG THANK YOU TO STE_GOFFY.
(not posting up more pics as they maybe required for evidence)
Watch this space.
Diclaimer - if your a milkman, i'm sorryfor the thread title!
