    warranty???

Had a network Q technitian come out to look at my car cos engine management light and traction control light is on. (Diagnosed ABS contol unit and mass air flow sensor).
When i went to pick my car up from vauxall they said that it could not be done under net Q cos ive got a K&N filter but i dont, i told him this and said ive got a larger intercooler on it and thats it so how could this effect my ABS control unit he said he didnt know cos the technitian didnt know the extent of my mods. Couldn't get a straight answer from him(dont think he was fobbin me off just think he didnt have a clue).

Rang net Q there are waiting for engineers report.

Where do i stand with my warranty?

Any help would be much appricaited

Shouldn't it be a case of innocent until proven guilty

My thoughts are that the intercooler is AFTER the air flow sensor and how can any of that affect the ABS

Surly a TECH 2 will show no remaps which is where they could then get funny :?

If they want to be a pain the ANY mod can invalidate the warranty.

I would hope they extend some common sense and sort it for you

It states clearly in your service book the following (Simplified) :-

Any changes or modifications 'Could' effect the warranty on the vehicle. However it also states that items that have failed that have no bearing on the modifications to the vehicle should be a normal warranty claim.

Sounds to me like you're being fobbed off. My brother had a Mk 2 Cav with a CLET in it, he bought a new water pump form the local dealer who told him they could not offer a warranty on it as the engine was not in the correct car. How that affects the water pump god knows.
