The air recycle button doesn't work if you have the heater controls set to demister.

When you say the heater isn't working, do you mean the fan? Or is the fan going but not producing any heat?

If the fan's not working, then it's either a bad connection or a dying fan unit. If the fan's going and not producing heat, check your water level in the cooling system. If it's low then the hot water won't get to the heater matrix.

    re: heater probs

oh ok that probably explains the air circulation button prob then, just noticed it at the wrong tim i guess - cheers.

Yeah sorry its the fan that stops working, sometimes if it does work it struggles to get going. So based on the fact i have never messed about with the wiring it would be strange if it was a connection? right? so sounds like its the fan unit? where would it be housed and anyone know roughly how much?

thanks for your help, car electrics is something i know **** all about!

    cheers

The fan unit is behind the glove box. 6 screws take the glove box out, and then you can check any wiring in there. I'd imagine it's either a loose connection on the fan motor, or the fan could be knackered.
