Got a shot of this last night....

Was out with my mate Jonny last nite in his C2 GT with the 1.616v 110bhp engine but with the mods jonny has we reckon it's pushin 130-135 went to a wee quite spot and he jumped out and gave me a shot of his car! Now i have never been a Fan of Citroens especially the Saxo but this thing just Amazed me it was quick responsive the ride is very comfortable and when you press that pedal on the right hand side it SHIFTS!!!

I learned a valuable lesson last nite! It was never to comment on a car until i've driven it!! (doesnt mean i wont comment on looks tho!!)

Here's jonnys wee car i was let loose in last nite...

I don't disagree they are nippy but i just think the design is so stupid. No offence to jonny3 or anyone else but they are likely to end up the next saxo if all the owners keep changing. They are abetter car to the saxo and i don't dispute that but it just looks wrong IMO.

    Good car
    Nippy
    crappy looks.
can't comment on safety because dunno the crash rating etc.

I dont think the C2 is gonna be as big as the saxo ever was because as soon as the saxo hit the showrooms tuning companys were working on mods for it straight away and by the end of the first year of the saxo there was more kits available for it than a Corsa!!!

It's totally different for the C2 there is kits slowly coming out like the Ibheer design on i posted but there is only a handfull! it'll be a long while before this car is turning out in it's 100's at crail and so on with neds driving it!

Oh and at this very moment i'm gettin an Insurance Quote on one!

Just got a quote on a Coupe and it was far too expensive!!

Just cant get to like the C2, design wise its aweful.......Ive heard they have also been having a lot of problems with that semi-auto gearbox fitted to them, I was never a huge fan of the Saxo but I preferred the design of it to the C2.....quite suprised at how few Ive seen on the roads though, expected them to have made more of an impact than they have.

i thought that aswell Dave, i havent seen that many either, i think thats why they dont seem to grown on people because they dont seem them too often! But i've seen my mates constantly and just kinda liked them!

I think they appeal to me the now is because they are Affordable, quick and alot bloody cheaper on insurance than the Astra SXi with the same size engine!!

The C2's are fairly nippy, but still cant pull away from a GSI no matter how hard the driver tries

dave i wouldn't be bothered about that mate I cant AFFORD to insure a GSi with my track record so i think i'll settle with something nippy!!

Oh and i dunno why but Insurance is becoming a nightmare for me on Vauxhalls just got a Quote for an Astra SXi 1.6 16v it was £1480 a year with no NCB and just passing my test again!!

    The Citroen C2 GT 1.6 16v (110bhp) is £1152.70 a year
    and the C2 VTS (125bhp) is £1194.82 a year!!!!

i think i know what i'm gettin to replace the corsa
